ELECTROMAGNET
H=NI/l
H- magnetic field strength
N- number of coils
I- current
l-length of the magnet core
R=ro*L/S
R- resistance
ro-specific resistance of the material
L-length of the wire
S-surface of wire cross section
S=r^2*Pi
S-surface of wire cross section
r-diametar half of the wire
Pi= 3.1416
Since magnetic field strength is proportional to NI product
if you want to make a sronger magnet you are suppose
to increase N.
But if you increase N you increase L
and with it R and decrease I.So when you increase N
you are suppose to increase S.
If you want to double the strength of the magnet
you do this:
-N*2
-r*sqrt(2) or d*sqrt(2)
d-diameter of the wire
sqrt- square root function
If you want n times stronger magnet
you do this:
-N*n
-d*sqrt(n)
